Polarizing is undeniably a stimulant and should not be used in conjunction with stimulating drugs; it is possibly safer not to use it at all, if any type of drug is being taken, as the reactions could cause unknown results.

We have all heard of side effects caused by some of the "miracle drugs" which are generally artificial stimulants to the pituitary and associated endocrine glands, including the adrenals. The pituitary gland is a small gland lying just below the brain. It has been called the orchestra leader of the endocrine glands because of its important role in regulating the ductless glands.

In a well known book written by a medical doctor, a case is cited of a woman becoming totally and permanently blind as a result of overstimulation to the pituitary, causing the gland to increase in size and press against the delicate optic nerves. Two penicillin injections administered for a cold and headache were apparently responsible for the overstimulation.

In order to avoid overstimulation and exhausted adrenals, we strongly recommend against the overuse of polarizing. Nature does not like being rushed; it needs time to replenish its resources. "Keep the power in polarizing" is an appropriate motto and when an emergency arises, you have it as a strong ally, not an exhausted one.

Polarizing is of tremendous benefit to the body if only used when adjustments are needed. Do not spoil its valuable potential for yourself and others by indiscriminate and irresponsible application. I appeal particularly to those who are thoughtless or lack a grasp of the strength of the atomic energies involved. For example, some have ignored our instructions to remove their glasses while polarizing. As a result they have experienced a disturbed feeling in the head caused by the pressure of the glass frames directing a specifically polarized wave flow to the bridge of the nose and the parts of the head touched by the frames; areas that were probably in a correct wave pattern originally and were detrimentally affected by further stimulation. Similarly, tight clothing, e. g. girdles, belts, etc. will also divert the flow of energy waves to the area of pressure.

Learn to know the energies you are working with before using them or advising others. The book Vivaxis was intended to introduce the fact of a basic law of nature and to show it is an essential part of us; the book was not intended to provide a therapy and "cure all" for disease. Therapy was used as a proving ground, mainly to illustrate the law's existence and fundamental importance; for without its existence none of the accomplishments would have been possible. In the final analysis the best therapy is to understand the laws of nature that govern us and abide by them.

Many people who appeal to me for help come after all the rules of nature have been ignored or broken. They are from the modern school who believe health can be obtained from a bottle of pills, supplemented by treatment from impressive looking electronic equipment. Finally, the ailing nervous system has to be partially repolarized with shock treatments. A foreign wavelength is introduced which realigns part of the brain into a new field of energy; as a result limbs are often affected and gradually lose their normal reflexes. Polarizing is not applicable at this stage of mutilation when nature's original magnetic arrangement has been destroyed, for it is similar to shuffling the parts of a jig-saw puzzle, throwing away some of the key pieces and then saying, "Please reassemble the puzzle".

Dr. Henry Bieler, m. d., in his celebrated book, Food is Your Best Medicine, cites a notice posted by the Massachusetts Medical Society, dated in the year 1855, "The Treasurer announced that he had received the sum of one hundred dollars from a member of the Society for a prize ... on the following theme: 'We would regard every approach toward the rational and successful prevention and management of a disease, without the necessity of drugs, to be an advance in favor of humanity and scientific medicine' ".

When we polarize, the pattern of magnetism becomes very definite and very strong. We have learned that the energies in each hand have their own distinct magnetic moment, even as the other parts of the body align their atomic particles with the centres of magnetic influences. It will be remembered in Vivaxis, several instruments were described for the stimulation of various parts of the body, each used in its special way. Never use the hands for stimulating the body while polarizing, since it can result often in alarming complications as experienced by a self-styled experimenter. A friend had assisted him with polarizing and had used the "Bess Bonger" prior to repolarizing his chest X-rays. As a result he felt rejuvenated with a sense of well-being and further he could now correctly find his own channel.

Daily he used his new found toy, pounding across his chest with his right hand as he stood both ways in his channel. At this point I had not met the gentleman, but his friend was justifiably concerned when she brought him to my house for inspection. His right hand was suffering from what appeared to be a radiation burn. It was extremely painful, very swollen, mottled and peeling. To relieve the pain he had been up all night soaking it in cold water. We fairly gasped as his hand was displayed.

I first tested the receptors of the head associated with the fingers and found a group of three with wildly disturbed circulating patterns. He was aligned four directions in his channel while the receptors were specifically polarized. Within minutes the pain subsided; within the next half hour the swelling had disappeared as his hand assumed a red wrinkled appearance.

The case just described is an extreme one but serves as a warning. Generally we win the majority of rounds in polarizing; however, when deviations from the normal pattern still exist we search for the reason drawing upon our experience to make the necessary adjustment. Often the solution leads us to another avenue which adds further to the knowledge of the subject.

We entitled this chapter, "overstimulation can be dangerous", and while we still have the red signal up I will refer to the chapter mentioning "electronic poisoning", through contact with strongly polarized waves other than your own. We are in the strictest sense of the word "electronic" and during the process of polarizing we emit strong polarized waves which are definitely detrimental to others who are subjected to them.

I say this with considerable feeling for on occasions I have paid a heavy price for the research that has necessitated over-exposure. Perhaps I also pay for my compassion as have some of my dedicated assistants. When help is asked, refusal is difficult.

However, I do have my own personal method of partial protection or I would not have endured as much as I have. In lectures I demonstrate with angle wires only when faced out of my channel. To do otherwise would be irresponsible and without regard to others. We have had many examples of adverse effects caused to spectators who link into the circuit through their eyes. Their own polarity becomes unbalanced and often they report the accumulated effects are felt some six to twelve hours later. In some instances they have experienced symptoms similar to those described as "electronic poisoning". "You warned me, but I found it hard to believe", is a frequent apology made by those who have ignored the precaution.
