The proprietor of this vineyard is Mr. Charmolue. It contains about 67 hectares. It is a very prolific vineyard, its mean annual output being about 220 tuns. This vineyard is considered as a model one by competent authorities and has received a gold medal from the Minister of Agriculture for its peculiar excellence of appointment and cultivation. This medal was given to the vineyard in 1871, and since then it has constantly kept the vineyard in the public eye and it has maintained its excellence throughout the entire time. Its wines are much sought after by the highest grade consumers in Europe and other countries.
