This vineyard is owned by Mr. V. Coustau, and is one of the most renowned of the Graves region. It is, however, a small vineyard, comprising only about 15 hectares, and produces an average quantity of 30 tuns of wine per year remarkable for its fineness and bouquet. The prices received for this wine are equal to those of the second growths of the Medoc. The wine of the Mission Haut-Brion enjoys a great reputation, both in America and England. It must not be confounded, however, as it sometimes is, with the Haut-Brion wine which is a classed growth of the Medoc.
