[Port.] A kind of wild as3, of the genus Equus, perhaps the most beautiful animal of this tribe. It is pale yellow or white in color, with black or brown stripes. It lives in large herds in the mountainous parts of Africa, and is very wild. Few zebras have ever been tamed.
