This is a kind of egg nogg. The whites of the eggs are beaten separately, and the yolks with sugar and a little carbonate of soda. The brandy or whisky is mixed with other ingredients, except the white of the egg, and made up to the required strength with hot water, and the whites of the eggs placed on top and sprinkled with a little nutmeg.
