The raw materials of which whisky is made are of the greatest importance. The very best and finest grains of which the country is possessed should be used for making a whisky of high grade. Imperfect cereals are those which are moldy, frost bitten or decayed in any way. Such grains make poor spirits and never have the proper taste, that is, the proper flavor is not developed. The maker who values his reputation selects his Indian corn, rye, barley and malt with extreme care.
