The pure distilled water thus obtained is practically free from dissolved gases, such as nitrogen and oxygen, of which the atmosphere is chiefly composed, and is consequently flat and insipid to the taste. It is of a character sufficiently pure to be used for the manufacture of any imitation waters desired.
