The viticultural districts of the Palatinate are situated at the foot of the Haardt Mountains, which form the western limit of the Rhine Valley in Rhenish Bavaria (left bank of the Rhine).
The Wine of the Palatinate is reputed for its good quality, high degree of alcoholic strength, maturity and body.
