For the Quart Size: Use 4 drachms of tartaric acid (in small crystals) and 5 drachms of bi-carbonate of soda (in powders). For the Half-Gallon Size: Use 6 drachms of tartaric acid (in small crystals) and drachms of bi-carbonate of soda (in powders). The two substances must be well mixed together before being put in the small globe.
