Blind or Bottle Gentian. Gentiana Andrensii.
Gentian Family. Aug. - Oct.
A plant 1 - 2 feet high, found in woodland borders, moist soil. Maine to Manitoba and southward.
Tightly closed, deep violet blue at the apex, white at the base, in terminal clusters from the leaf angles.
Opposite, smooth, pointed at the tip, narrowed at the base.
