L. Cardiaca: stems stiff, hairy or downy, 2-4 feet high; leaves stalked, broad, palmately cut into 5-7 coarsely toothed lobes, the floral leaves narrow, 3-lobed or entire; flowers in long interrupted, terminal, leafy spikes, pink or nearly white. - Waste places, hedges, etc. Fl. July, August.
