A liquid for dry shampooing may be made by dissolving 2oz. of Castile soap in 1 3/4pt. of spirit of wine and adding 3} pt. of water. If desired, the liquid may be scented with, a few drops of essence of bergamot. A stronger material may be made by using carbonate of potash (pearlasht in place of soap, but in this case it would be better to wash the bead with water afterwards.
