Fold 2 and 4 to 1 and 3 making an oblong.

Fold AB up one inch.

Turn over and again fold the closed edge up one inch.

Repeat, turning over each time until all is folded into a strip one inch wide. Pressing this strip firmly on the table, fold the entire closed strip over so that it will be half as wide.

Fasten with a band one-half inch from the end, then with three more bands, about one and one-half inches apart for the tree trunk. Spread the top of the pleats for the branches and the bottom for roots.
